DIANA – Innovation Alliance for Point-of-Care Technologies (POCT)

DIANA is a Central German innovation alliance for the development and transfer of point-of-care technologies. Companies, research institutions, and users collaborate on rapid, practical diagnostic solutions for medicine, veterinary medicine, sports, agriculture, and other fields. The goal is to efficiently transform innovations into marketable products and strengthen regional value creation.

DIANA brings together expertise from manufacturing and medical technology, materials science, sensor technology, and microelectronics , thus creating the foundation for interdisciplinary innovations. The focus is on the early involvement of users , the transfer of research into marketable products , and the strengthening of regional value chains .

In addition to project development, the alliance offers exchange formats, workshops, training opportunities, and networking events to initiate collaborations and explore new business and application areas for point-of-care diagnostics. DIANA sees itself as a platform for innovation, transfer, and growth in the field of decentralized diagnostics – with strong regional roots and supra-regional appeal.
