BiotroNiS is a research network that connects researchers, companies, and start-ups from the fields of biology, material science, and electronics. Our goal is to bring together knowledge, ideas, and technologies to enable innovations in the field of bioelectronics. We create spaces for exchange, cooperation, and transfer so that marketable applications can emerge from research. In this way, we promote the development of sustainable technologies for medicine, the environment, and biotechnology. This measure is co-financed by tax resources based on the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament and co-financed by the European Union.

DIANA brings together expertise from manufacturing and medical technology, materials science, sensor technology, and microelectronics , thus creating the foundation for interdisciplinary innovations. The focus is on the early involvement of users , the transfer of research into marketable products , and the strengthening of regional value chains . In addition to project development, the alliance offers exchange formats, workshops, training opportunities, and networking events to initiate collaborations and explore new business and application areas for point-of-care diagnostics. DIANA sees itself as a platform for innovation, transfer, and growth in the field of decentralized diagnostics – with strong regional roots and supra-regional appeal.
