Compact, programmable controllers with AI and IIoT capabilities

The project develops compact, programmable controllers and intelligent automation solutions that combine classic control functions with modern embedded systems, connectivity, Industrial IoT (IIoT) and AI. The devices are based on modern microcontrollers and SoC modules and can run AI applications such as anomaly detection, predictive maintenance and intelligent process optimization directly on the device.

By using industrial networks such as Ethernet and Modbus, the systems remain compact, cost-effective and easily expandable. First prototypes are a programmable smart relay and a compact PLC platform.

The goal is intelligent control solutions for industrial automation, machine tools, building automation, robotics and special machines. In addition, customer-specific control systems are to be developed. The first commercial product and the target market are defined based on customer requirements and financing options.

Who are you? Background, motivation, relevant experience? What role, if any, do the team members have?

Mr. Tarokh is an engineer with an academic background in control engineering and an M.Sc. in Embedded Systems from TU Chemnitz. His area of expertise lies in electronics, embedded hardware and software, programmable control systems, and automation. He has practical professional experience in companies that develop industrial control systems and PLC-based solutions, as well as solid knowledge in PCB design, embedded firmware, and software development.

Which industry(s) does the business idea most closely fit into?

What have you achieved so far (prototype, users, revenue)?

Two hardware concepts are already in the prototype phase: a programmable Smart Relay as well as a compact, network-capable PLC/control platform. Initial developments in electronics, PCB design, and embedded systems are completed; functional prototypes are available for further testing. In parallel, market positioning, applications, and marketing channels are being reviewed. Next steps are market validation, product selection, certification planning, and commercialization.

Mr. Tarokh is looking for a sales- and business-oriented Co-Founder who complements my technical profile and takes responsibility for the commercial side. This includes business model development, market validation, financing and grant applications, financial planning, customer development, partnerships, sales strategy, and organizational development. It is important to him to build the company together from the start, to assess the potential of the existing prototypes, to select the right product for market entry, and to design the marketing of IIoT and AI functions such as remote monitoring or Predictive Maintenance.
